Take a drive out in your vehicle from Car Hire Ireland and see the splendid Lakes of Killarney. There are three lakes, Upper Lake, Middle Lake also known as Muckross and Lough Leane.
Muckross House is a fabulous mansion that was built in the 19th Century. The building is in excellent condition and is very popular due to its proximity to the lake.
Muckross also has a Franciscan Abbey and its ruins are well worth a visit. There are some famous poets who are buried there including O'Donagahue and O'Rathaille.
Killarney is also home to the Circuit of Ireland rally. The rally has become very popular over the years among locals and overseas fans.
The town is very lively and busy on any night of the week. There are some fine restaurants in the area such as the Killarney Royal Hotel. The building is beautiful in shape and design and the menu is very extensive and can cater for all your tastes.
Agadoe has Rozzers Restaurant at Killeen house which is next to the lakes and a short drive away. Agadoe also has the 13th Century ruins of Parkavonear Castle. There is also a Romanesque church nearby.
A great way to spend the day is to have a barbeque at the Gap of Dunloe. The spectacular backdrop to your barbeque is breathtaking. The Gap is between two mountains and is a photographer's dream.
