Cruise around in the vehicle of your choice from Car Hire Lancashire and visit Lancaster Castle. The castle was home to the famous Pendle witches when they were incarcerated during the witch trials. It still serves as a prison today but is open to the public to see. Not far from there is the Judges Lodgings which was home to Thomas Covell who was Governor of the prison and a witch hunter.

15th Century Townley Hall set in the grounds of Townley Park is a stunning stately mansion. The park itself was once used by the residents of the home for deer hunting. The hall is located a short distance from the town of Burnley.
