A great place to visit is Louis Tussaud's Waxworks with its many different famous people immortalized in wax. Not far from there is the Blackpool High Tide Organ. This fascinating structure uses the sea to make music.
There are places to get away from all the amusements such as Stanley Park. The park contains a model village, art deco restaurant and even a golf course.
The best time to see Blackpool is when the illuminations are turned on in August. Blackpool was the first municipal to have electric street lighting. The illuminations are a major attraction.
